Austin Family Farm has been growing the freshest fruits in Colorado for over 30 years! All produce is organically grown, kissed by the Colorado sun, grown on the hillsides that sweep past the Welk Elk mountain range, and are finally hand-picked by our family at its peak. Cherries are a basic staple in the valley and are typically the first fruit ready to be harvested, beginning in late June.
Cherry Days Festival is celebrated every year over the 4th of July weekend. Organized over 60 years ago to celebrate cherry harvest, community and family, the festival now boasts thousands of attendees from across the United States. The oldest continually running outdoor festival in America, Cherry Days Festival includes musical entertainment, food, sidewalk sales, a firefighters breakfast, bed race, arts & crafts fair, silent auction and a family carvival.
The variety of cherries carried by Austin Family Farms includes bing, lambert, rainier, skeene, cheland and royal anne.


Grapes abound by September in the orchards. Varieties include seedless table green & red, hemrod (green), mars (red) & concord.
Peach pickin' begins in mid-July and last til late September. Austin Family Farm grows early red haven, red have, rising star, Paul Friday variety, glow haven, sun crest, blushing star, white peach, crest haven, JH Hale, elberta and autumn star.
Apricots are available beginning mid-July and include sunglow, ryland and perfection.
Apples! Apples! and MORE Apples! Picking begins in mid-August and last til late October. Austin Family Farm carries a wide variety of apples including Austin gold, ginger gold, gala, red fuji, golden delicious, red delicious, jonathan, granny smith, empire, my Jean, jonagold, Austin goldajon, cameo and honey crisp.
Red, ripe raspberries are ready to go by mid-July! Blackberries soon follow in early August. Austin Family Farm carries three types of blackberries with juices ready to burst in your mouth! Varieties include chester thornless, triple crown and doyle thornless.
Beautiful plums are ready to go by early September. Varieties include santa rosa, stanley and green gauge.
Nectarines (not pictured) are ready in late August.
